Dive into a rich space for self-discovery!
This 6-week class combines embodiment skills, including movement, breath awareness and sensing, with deep listening and self-inquiry practices drawn from Parts Work (IFS). We do this in a supportive group framework and offer each other warmth, nonjudgemental witnessing, and opportunities for co-creativity and play. Solo activities, such as guided explorations, writing and drawing, are also incorporated.
We get a chance to attend to our inner world with curiosity and care. Our emotions, thoughts and sensations represent "parts" of ourselves. Some of these parts can feel challenging, for example, a tender heart, an anxious belly or the thought of not being good enough. Through a gentle process, we learn how to center in "Self," that calm and clear aspect of our being, and greet our parts from here. This allows our parts to feel seen, respected and supported. They release their grip and personal transformation occurs with more ease.
This class also focuses our strengths, also known as qualities of Self, such as courage, joy and confidence. We embody these wonderful human qualities which feels empowering and nourishing. We also have opportunity to bring our more difficult parts to life, animating them through movement so we can get to know them better and release shame and judgement.
As we engage with these practices, self-compassion grows and insights emerge. We feel a sense of shared humanity and leave empowered with tools for emotional healing and finding ease in hard times.
Come join me on this fruitful journey of healing:
• Be seen and heard.
• Know yourself more deeply.
• Develop greater self-acceptance.
• Explore the joys of co-regulation and playful connection.
• Discover the power and joy of movement.

Important information:
-While this work is therapeutic, it is not a substitute for mental health counseling. If you are dealing with mental health issues, please have support from a therapist. Sessions may catalyze the movement of emotions that you don’t have time to fully process during a session and I recommend having a support person, a therapist, healer, etc. to whom you can call if needed.
-My training is in 25 + years of movement studies, 2 years of training in Somatic Experiencing and a 3 year study group in IFS. I practice as a Somatic Healer.
-I welcome all genders to my groups.
-Groups are done online. Sessions will NOT be recorded, because these are highly experiential.
Participant Requirements:
You are able to:
-Listen to others without interrupting.
-Speak with respect and kindness.
-Refrain from giving advice, unless asked.
-Communicate your needs and make requests.
-Tend to your own triggers and come prepared with a few tools for self-care.
A trigger happens when your nervous system perceives a real or perceived threat from the present or one is evoked from the past. You might feel antsy, tense, irritated, nervous, shut-down or have other symptoms. These are often uncomfortable and you start to feel a sense of disconnection from the group. If you feel triggered, I support you in doing self-care. This can look like taking a break, doing some deep breathing or journaling.
