What is presence? While presence resists definition, and at it's core is a mystery, it is something that we can feel. When we are having a hard day and a friend is "present" for us, we can lean into them. When a powerful person walks into the room, we often note that they have "presence." There is a there-ness. This is in contrast to when someone is absent or scattered. Cultivating our own presence, then, is tending to our own "thereness," to our own ground of being.
Presence Coaching offers pathways to experiencing your own presence. You learn to be more fully here, in your own body, embracing all parts of yourself. As you do this, you feel simultaneously more solid and more spacious. You strengthen your capacity to roll with whatever life brings, because you are sensing a part of yourself that is unchanging.

What are sessions like?
Sessions begin with bringing attention to the body to soothe the nervous system, using breath, movement and touch. As we relax the body, we relax the mind. Next, we focus on our energy centers, known as the dan tiens, that lie at the head, heart and belly. These centers are wells of spiritual energy that help us to experience calm and spaciousness within.
From here, we get curious about what you are experiencing. This could be at the level of body sensations, thoughts, emotions or energy. With each perception that arises, we bring equal curiosity on THAT WHICH IS PERCEIVING. This is awareness itself. These always arise together.
Presence work is not about getting to a fixed state, rather it is about following your curiosity from moment to moment. At it's core, its a radical surrender. We feel more and more that our live being lived and shaped by something much larger than us.
At the end of each session, to help with integration, you are invited to talk, write or draw about what you learned and experienced. We then discuss how to bring these learnings into your daily life to bring more presence to your week.
What's it like to work with me?
I bring warmth, compassion and a sense of humor to sessions. I come to you, not as an expert or a guru, but rather as someone who has walked this path for a number of years and has effective tools share. I also come to you as a fellow presence explorer who is companioning you on your journey of discovery: It is truly my joy to witness and support you in this process.
